Tonkotsu broth is made by simmering or boiling pork bone or bone marrow for 8-10 hours, to produce a thick, creamy, and rich umami pork broth.
Tonkotsu ramen usually comes with thin ramen noodles and other ingredients such as pork chashu (pork belly), menma (bamboo shoot), seaweed, sweet corns, and sometimes with other interesting ingredients to complete the dish.
